Master's in Health Biology

This research-oriented program in the field of Biology and Health is supported by highly skilled research teams with international recognition. The degree is designed to prepare students who are considering a career in higher education or research.

The Master's in Health Biology offers 12 tracks, four of which are taught entirely or partially within the School of Pharmacy:

  • Translational Medicinal Chemistry
  • Therapeutic Engineering and Bioproduction in Health Biotechnology (IBIS)
  • Sensory and motor neuroprostheses
  • Dynamic and Emergence of Infectious Diseases (DYNAMEID): This program will not be offered for the 2023–2024 academic year.

"Translational Medicinal Chemistry" Track

This track lies at the intersection of chemistry and biology and is intended for students in the biological sciences, the health sciences, or the ENSCM. Building on the foundations of structural, molecular, and cellular biology, this track provides theoretical and methodological training in the field of pharmaceuticals, covering both rational design and innovation, as well as nanotechnologies for delivery and targeting. Courses in pharmacokinetics, toxicological investigation, and therapeutic pharmacology then provide an understanding of a molecule’s fate within the body.

The internship placements affiliated with the Master II program encourage students to pursue doctoral studies at French or international universities in the field of the chemistry-biology interface. This Translational Medicinal Chemistry track helps train professionals for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and food industries, as well as biotechnology companies.
