Student Mobilization at the School of Pharmacy

On November 21, more than 200 students from the Montpellier School of Pharmacy gathered at Place de la Comédie to support the reform of postgraduate pharmaceutical studies.

Launched in 2016, the postgraduate reform (R3C) has not been fully implemented for all pharmacy students. One of the protesters’ main demands is the introduction of short-term specialized study diplomas (DES) in pharmacy, which would provide pharmacists with a comprehensive and diverse education.

Students also expect an improvement in their quality of life through higher pay and the provision of transportation and housing allowances so they can complete internships throughout the country, a point that was also emphasized during the protest.

In total, students from 13 cities across France organized demonstrations on November 21 in response to a call issued bythe National Association of Pharmacy Students of France (Anepf).

At the conclusion of the event in Paris, a delegation was received by the Ministry of Health and Prevention.
