Guidelines/Procedure for the Defense of a Pharmacy Thesis
Composition of the Jury
The jury consists of at least three members with the following qualifications:
- The Chair must be a faculty member qualified to supervise research or a professor serving in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences
- At least one member of the jury must be someone from outside the department
- At least two members of the jury must hold a Ph.D. in Pharmacy
Administrative procedures one month before the defense
- Authorization to defend a thesis
- Complete the “Authorization for the Defense” form (download the form, fill it out, and have it signed by the Chair of the Committee and your thesis advisor)
- The thesis defense authorization form must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office, Room 26 (Ms. Florence Grévoul), at least one month before the selected defense date.
- Booking the thesis defense room :
- one month before the defense date and with the approval of the chair of the committee and the thesis advisor. The Droguier is reserved for theses whose subject matter is related to the Droguier.
- Booking a room by email
- Reserving a venue for the reception within the UFR:
- If you would like to reserve a venue within the department (outdoors or indoors) for a thesis reception, please contact Ms. CATAPANO by email or phone (04 11 75 93 09)one month before the defense.
- PLEASE NOTE: Refreshments are not permitted for thesis defenses held between 6:00 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.
- Gown Reservations (while supplies last):
- Please contact Eric MERTZ or Benoît GAUBIAC by email or at 04 11 75 93 45.
Administrative procedures 15 days before the defense
- Fill out, date, and sign the “Thesis Submission Form” (available for download in PDF format).
- Submit a copy of your thesis in electronic format as a single PDF file.
Please note that the templates for the front and back covers (including the title in French and English, the abstract in French, and the keywords) must be included in the PDF. The templates for the first and last pages are available for download. - Both files (the thesis publication agreement and the thesis manuscript) must be emailed to Ms. Grévoul (Graduate Studies, 6th Year) 15 days before the thesis defense.
- A hard copy of your thesis must be submitted to each member of your committee 15 days before the defense.
