Article 2 of Decree No. 2019-11252 of November 4, 2019, concerning admission to medical, pharmacy, dental, and midwifery programs

Art. R. 631-21-1.—Students who have successfully completed the first cycle of medical, pharmacy, dental, or midwifery programs at a university in France may be admitted to pursue graduate studies at another university upon the decision of the president of the host university, following consultation with the director of the medical, pharmacy, or dental education and research unit, or the midwifery training unit or the department providing these programs within the meaning of Article L. 713-4. This admission option is granted on a priority basis to students who have been required to change their place of residence for family reasons.
“Students who hold degrees, titles, or diplomas validated in a Member State of the European Union, in another State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, in the Swiss Confederation, or in the Principality of Andorra, and which attest to the acquisition of skills and knowledge comparable to those acquired in the undergraduate phase of programs in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, and midwifery in France may be admitted to pursue their studies in the graduate phase of these same programs in France upon decision of the president of the host university after consultation with the director of the medical, pharmacy, or dentistry training and research unit, the midwifery training institution, or the department responsible for these programs within the meaning of Article L. 713-4.
“The combined total of these two categories of admissions may not exceed a number of students greater than a percentage of first-year graduate admissions to programs in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, and midwifery, as set by order of the ministers responsible for higher education and health.”

There are options for transferring credits between pharmacy schools for students currently pursuing a degree in pharmacy in France or in aTU member country. To do so, please contact your academic advisor.

Transfers are possible at the end of the undergraduate program, that is, at the end of the third year, upon completion of the Diploma in General Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Applications must be submitted by email no later than May 15.

The application package consists of the following documents :

For TU students:

  • A document outlining the content of the studies, translated into French if necessary and certified as a true copy,
  • Transcripts,
  • French proficiency level for non-French-speaking students,
  • Cover letter,
  • Resume,
  • National ID Card/Passport (valid).

For transfers within the same department in France:

  • A favorable recommendation from the dean of the student’s home school of pharmacy,
  • Transcripts,
  • Cover letter accompanied by supporting documents that provide insight into the applicant’s personal circumstances,
  • Resume.

Applications will be reviewed in June. A decision—whether to accept or reject the application—will then be made regarding the student’s continued enrollment in the pharmacy program at our training and research unit.

The transfer agreement is subject to approval of the current academic year.
