Apnea is a theatrical docu-drama that explores the impact of a child's chronic illness on the personal and family sphere, through the prism of the maternal relationship.
The play also recounts the announcement of a transplant, the parents' disagreement with this surgical project and the consequences of this choice for the therapeutic relationship. It addresses issues of medical communication, consent to care, third-party decision-making, patients' rights and the management of uncertainty. Its aim is to contribute to the debate on healthcare democracy.
Apnée was created in 2022 with creative support from the DRAC and the Hauts-de-France region. Since then, the project has attracted numerous partnerships in the fields of health and human sciences, particularly in the field of ethics.
