Blood donation

  • Dates: March 25–26, 2025
  • Hours: 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Location: School of Pharmacy, Hall A

March kicks off with a focus on gratitude, starting with World ComplimentDay.

The perfect opportunity to honor donors and encourage everyone to join this wonderful chain of solidarity.

March is also Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. All the more reason to take action and support patients by donating blood.

Every little bit helps!

To donate blood, you need to:

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 70
  • Weigh at least 50 kg
  • Bring a photo ID

Before you come in, be sure to take the online test* on the EFS website to find out if you have any contraindications.

From the time you arrive until you leave, allow between 45 minutes and an hour (don’t worry—the donation itself takes only about 10 minutes on average). Keep in mind that it’s best to eat beforehand and stay well-hydrated throughout the donation.

We hope to see many of you there!

*Please note that this test is for informational purposes only and does not replace the pre-donation interview. Only EFS staff can tell you whether you are eligible to donate blood.
