Blood Drive

Want to take action and do something to show solidarity and civic spirit? Come donate blood at the School of Pharmacy!

Donating blood means contributing to the healthcare system and helping many patients every year. This can include patients with cancer, blood disorders, or those experiencing significant bleeding during surgery or childbirth.

To donate blood, you must:

• Be between the ages of 18 and 70
• Weigh at least 50 kg
• Bring a form of photo ID

Before you go, you can take the online test on the EFS website to find out if you have any contraindications.

From the time you arrive until you leave, plan on spending between 45 minutes and 1 hour (don’t worry—the donation itself takes only about 10 minutes on average). Keep in mind that it’s best to eat beforehand and stay well-hydrated throughout the donation.
