RIDMN course: training dedicated to the regulation of digital medical devices

Created in 2025 as part of the Master's degree in Medicines and Health Products Science, the "International Regulation of Digital Medical Devices (RIDMN)" course offers specialized training dedicated to the study of the regulatory framework for digital medical devices throughout their life cycle.

It combines theoretical and practical teaching, as well as close interaction with industry experts, to train professionals capable of responding to the challenges of innovation, regulatory compliance, and security in a rapidly evolving field.

Available as initial training and apprenticeships, the program also has an international dimension.

Under the joint supervision of professors Cécile Le Gal Fontès and Xavier Garric, this program is intended for students from the fields of pharmacy, medicine, biology, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, as well as holders of a degree in pharmacy, medicine, or veterinary medicine, pharmacy or medical interns, and engineers or master's degree holders in computer science.

Under the auspices ofthe Digital Health School of the University of Montpellier (ENSbyUM), the creation of this course is part of a response to a Call for Expressions of Interest from the France 2030 Investment Program for the Future, entitled "Skills and Jobs of the Future, " launched at the national level.
