Marie Tanneau, a graduate of the School of Pharmacy, receives the National Academy of Pharmacy Award

Marie Tanneau, a former student at the Montpellier School of Pharmacy, won a prestigious award from the National Academy of Pharmacy in December 2023. Her dissertation, titled “Montpellier Theriac: Between Science and Belief, Memories of the Queen of Medicines,” earned her the Maurice Bouvet and Henri Bonnemain Prize, which recognizes excellence in the history of pharmacy.

This award marks a first for the Montpellier School of Pharmacy. “It’s very significant for our school, which has a rich historical heritage. I hope this award will spark students’ interest in the fascinating history of pharmacy, a field brimming with intriguing topics,” says Marie Tanneau.

Marie Tanneau had previously been awarded the prize for Best Pharmacy Thesis at the 2023 graduation ceremony. She currently works at a pharmacy in Arles.
