Marie Tanneau, a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy, receives the Académie Nationale de Pharmacie prize.

Marie Tanneau, a former student at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Montpellier, won a prestigious award from the National Academy of Pharmacy in December 2023. Her thesis entitled "The Montpellier Theriac: Between Science and Belief, Memoirs of the Queen of Medicines" earned her the Maurice Bouvet and Henri Bonnemain Prize, which recognizes excellence in the history of pharmacy.

This distinction marks a first for the Montpellier Faculty of Pharmacy. "It is very significant for our Faculty, which has a rich historical heritage. I hope that this award will spark students' interest in the fascinating history of pharmacy, a field brimming with fascinating topics," says Marie Tanneau.

Marie Tanneau had already been honored with the award for Best Pharmacy Thesis at the 2023 graduation ceremony. She currently works in a pharmacy in Arles.
