Pink October: A Solidarity Campaign to Benefit the ICM

Following the activities organized as part of Pink October, students and staff from the School of Pharmacy officially presented a check to theMontpellier Cancer Institute (ICM). The visit provided an opportunity to tour the institute’s facilities and explore the in-house pharmacy, facilitating enriching discussions with the ICM teams and fostering a better understanding of their work in support of patients and research.

This check presentation marks the culmination of a major campaign led by the Campus Life Committee and all the student organizations throughout the month of October. On October 7, a flash mob held in the main courtyard in front of Audiocampus kicked off the campaign in a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere.

The campaign continued on October 14 with the "Pink Balls" tournament, accompanied by a variety of activities focused on prevention and awareness: information booths on screening and the link between smoking and cancer, a workshop on how to perform a breast self-exam, a smoothie bike, live music, and a charity raffle.

Thanks to the collective efforts of students and staff, €1,800 was donated to the ICM.
