As an expert in medicines, a trusted healthcare professional, and accessible without an appointment, the community pharmacist is now a key player in the healthcare system.

Their role is constantly evolving: they prescribe and administer vaccines authorized in pharmacies, participate in the screening and prevention of certain diseases, support chronic patients through pharmaceutical consultations, and work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals in acoordinated practice dynamic.

At the Faculty of Pharmacy, around 45% of students choose the pharmacy track each year, attracted by a hands-on profession that involves direct contact with patients and serves the public health system.
