The dispensary pharmacist: a healthcare professional at the heart of the care pathway

An expert in medicines, a trusted healthcare professional and accessible without appointment, the dispensing pharmacist is today a key player in the healthcare system.

Its role is constantly evolving: it prescribes and administers vaccines authorized in pharmacies, participates in the screening and prevention of certain pathologies, supports chronic patients through pharmaceutical interviews, and works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals in acoordinated practice dynamic.

At the Faculty of Pharmacy, around 45% of students choose the pharmacy stream each year, attracted by a profession in the field, in direct contact with patients and in the service of public health.
