On December 4, 2023, the School of Pharmacy had the honor of hosting a delegation fromShanghai University of Medicine and Health Sciences as part of efforts to strengthen and expand existing ties, which are central to an educational partnership.

The delegation members were warmly welcomed by Vincent Lisowski, Dean of the Faculty, François Pierrot, Vice President of the University of Montpellier in charge of international relations, Céline Delacourt-Gollain, Director of International Relations, Benjamin Nottelet, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy in charge of international relations, and Pierre-Antoine Bonnet, head of the Master’s program in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Products.
Signed in 2017, the agreement between the two faculties provides for enriching educational exchanges for both students and faculty. Students from Shanghai are regularly welcomed at the Faculty of Pharmacy as part of the Master’s program in Pharmaceutical Sciences and during introductory internships for undergraduate students. French students, for their part, benefit from internship opportunities in China thanks to this partnership. In addition, some faculty members from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Montpellier contribute to courses at Shanghai University.
Building on these years of fruitful collaboration, the two faculties aim to expand this cooperation to other programs, notably the Master’s in Nutrition and Food Science. In addition to the educational aspects of these exchanges, research is emerging as a promising avenue for the continued development of this international partnership.
