A look back at the 43rd edition of the Autumn Mushroom and Plant Show

The traditional event for mushroom and wild plant enthusiasts took place on October 21 and 22, 2023 at the Institut de Botanique. The event was "relocated" due to the work being carried out at the faculty, and attracted a large audience of mycology and botany specialists.

Organized by the Société d'Horticulture et d'Histoire Naturelle de l'Hérault and the Faculty's Botany, Phytochemistry and Mycology Laboratory, the show invites us to (re)discover the region's species and learn more about their diversity.

Two conferences ("La face cachée des orchidées" by Michel NICOLE and "L'hydne-hérisson : un champignon aux propriétés neuroprotectrices" by Dr Maya CAVALLI) attracted a large number of enthusiasts.

The inauguration was attended by the President of the University of Montpellier, Prof. Philippe Augé, the Director of the UFR, Prof. Vincent Lisowski, Mr. Stéphane Jouault, Deputy Mayor for Nature in the City and Biodiversity, and the President of the SHNHH, Mr. André Bervillé.
