After Hours Innovation #1

The first “After Hours Innovation” creative conferences took place on Monday, February 3, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Montpellier School of Pharmacy, attended by the President of the University of Montpellier (Philippe Augé), the Executive Director of MUSE (François Pierrot), and the Director of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences (Vincent Lisowski).
This first edition, focused on medical devices, was a resounding success, drawing more than 150 attendees (students, faculty members, and administrative and technical staff).
The three sessions (for students, faculty, and startups) sparked lively discussions, with students asking more than thirty questions, all in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
These three sessions helped make innovations in the field of healthcare more accessible and, we hope, inspired some of the students in attendance to pursue careers in this field.
The informal get-together that followed the presentations provided an opportunity to continue the discussions and foster connections among the various users of the pharmacy campus.
The organizing team would like to thank all attendees for their active participation, as well as the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences, the University of Montpellier, MUSE, the ANR IDEFI REMIS, and the Pharma Student Association for their unwavering support and invaluable assistance.
New editions of these “After Hours Innovation” events will be offered to students at the Pharmacy Campus during the 2020–2021 academic year, and the organizing team is available to assist faculty members at the Pharmacy Campus in preparing for these new editions.
